Our clinical services have a fee for those who have access to extended benefits, specialized funding, or the financial means to pay for services. During a free referral consult or your first session, we will help you determine a plan for payment. As a registered foundation we also offer services for free to those who do not have benefits or financial means to cover the cost of services. We are committed to providing access to mental health care to all who are interested in receiving services through Rivers of Redemption.
Welcoming Peace Session
Everyone begins with a welcoming peace session where we introduce you to our programs and help you decide the best pathways for services. This session also includes an introduction and reflection on the promises of peace we offered through Jesus Christ and his gospel. It is this peace through the Holy Spirit that leads changes you are seeking in your mental health.
Scripture
Clinical Counselling
Our counselling support begins with a brief introduction and personal assessment of your spiritual life. This is a very important element of self-care according to scripture. We have registered clinical counsellors and registered social workers who offer counselling support to children, adults, couples, and families. During your welcoming peace session we will help you determine who might be the best fit for your needs. There are a variety of counselling approaches they use including:
Cognitive Behavioural Therapy
EMDR
Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy
Psychodynamic
Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy
Couples and Family Therapy
Play Therapy

Peer Support
Part of your support with Rivers of Redemption includes access to a weekly prayer support group with others in the program. You may also have access to other peer support activities depending on what peer support is being offered out of the church where you recieve counselling. This part of of your program will be planned for during your welcoming peace section.
